Ever since the WWE superstar took a leave of absence last year in October to battle leukaemia that he was suffering from for the past 11 years, Roman Reigns returned to the flagship show RAW for the first time last week when he publicly announced his remission, cutting one of the biggest and most successful promos of his career.
For the second week now, Reigns opened the show with a mic in his hand, ready to hear a huge pop from the WWE Universe within the next 15 minutes. He spoke about his journey to recovery, which led him to realise how short life can be and how you must go for whatever it is that you really believe in without thinking twice.
Leading on with this argument, the 'Big Dog' called out his buddy and former teammate Seth Rollins to the ring, with a favour to ask. Teasing the possibility of Rollins taking on Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at Wrestlemania 35, Reigns requested for one final SHIELD reunion before “we may not be around anymore”.March 5, 2019
The first time the 'Hounds of Justice' fell apart, it was Rollins who back-stabbed Reigns and Dean Ambrose before becoming Triple H and Stephanie McMahon's new lap dog. Referring to the same incident, Rollins initially hesitated the idea of coming back together to form one of the more successful teams in the organisation, but finally gave into his best friend's wish.
The final link in the chain, the 'lunatic fringe', Dean Ambrose was the most difficult to convince. Resistant to unite with Rollins, Ambrose refused to Reigns' request when the show started.March 5, 2019
But after losing to Eilias who smashed a guitar on Ambrose's back before the match began, Reigns and Rollins returned to the ring without giving up on their dream to bring back SHIELD one last time. After fighting the voices in his head, Ambrose finally convinced himself to go ahead with the reunion.March 5, 2019
As yesterday's RAW ended, we have a brawl between the reunited SHIELD and the evil trio of Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley booked for the upcoming Pay-Per-View, WWE Fastlane this Sunday.

Getting away from the kayfabe narrative, the reunion is almost a sure shot way of giving every member of SHIELD a great boost in their individual careers just like it did when Rollins turned heel the last time.
While the 'Kingslayer' went on to battle Triple H at Wrestlemania 33, Ambrose became the World Heavyweight Champion and Roman Reigns feuded with 'The Beast', Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.
