Legendary former adult film star, Mia Khalifa, is now officially engaged to Swedish chef Robert Sandberg and we can already hear people screaming 'NO' across the world. Mia and her boyfriend shared the exciting news on their social media, and since then, people have flooded the internet with mixed reactions (and we can totally imagine why).

In fact, Mia Khalifa's proposal deserves a movie of its own as her boyfriend reveals how she almost foiled the plan. Sandberg wrote on Instagram, "We went to Chicago this weekend and had a wonderful dinner at Smyth. I proposed to @miakhalifa and she said YES!"

But that's not even the best part of it, he wrote, "The ring was hidden in a bowl of dried ingredients and came out as a 'new serving'. Mia was too curious and too eager to taste so she started to eat the inedible ingredients. I told her not to do it and then I put the ring on the finger. I love you so much."

I took @robertsandberg here as our first date night spot when he came to visit me in America for the first time, and we went back this week to celebrate finding the perfect home, and (later) getting approved for it in LA ð¡ I can't believe how fast this last year has gone by and how much has changed, but I never in my life thought I'd say I'm excited to move to LA. Probably because I'm just excited to start building a life and home with this treasure of a man, and where in the world I do it doesn't matter (even if it's LA), as long as I have him, and his Swedish pancakes on Sunday mornings ♥ï¸(Austin, I love you so much, and I always will. Mia too thanked the restaurant and Sandberg for coming up with this brilliant proposal, "Thank you a million times over for the entire team at @smythchicago for helping @robertsandberg propose...this trip and dinner was supposed to celebrate him getting his visa!
