This year's Indian Premier League (IPL) has not been short of breathtaking moments. It's still early days in the tournament but we are already witnessing a totally different side of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) allrounder, Andre Russell.
Coming in at crucial points and taking the game away has been a trademark for the Carribean giant. He has played three matches till now and in each game has crossed the mark of 40 runs with a strike rate over 200.

In the match against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Saturday, Russell, once again saved his team from falling in the trap of the Delhi bowlers. Coming in at 61 for 5, he found a suitable partner in skipper Dinesh Karthik to take the team to a par total of 185 in their share of 20 overs, out of which, he scored 62 in mere 28 balls with six sixes and four fours.
Along with his exploits with the bat, the West Indian made sure that he contributed with the ball also (1 wicket).
Despite all the hard-work though, KKR ended up on the losing side as they fell short in the super over by three runs.
Looking forward to continuing his blistering performances for KKR, Russell sits on the third spot in the race of the orange cap, following David Warner and Johnny Bairstow of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
