Jammu voted yesterday, in its first phase of the Lok Sabha elections and while it all went smoothly, there was more to casting votes in that space. There was unity and love amidst people while the elections were on and we know this because an 83-year-old woman by the name of Satya Devi came to cast her vote and the CRPF soldiers walked quietly with her, holding her hand while she was on her way to the ballots.
As the elderly woman was preparing to step on the ramp, the CRPF jawan told her 'dheere dheere aaiye', making it a remarkably endearing moment in the history of Jammy casting votes.

J&K has 6 Lok Sabha seats but only Jammu and Baramulla elected members to the lower house of parliament yesterday.
