Twitter Calls 'Tashkent Files' A Bravely Researched Film & The Only Political Drama That Matters

Vivek Agnihotri's political drama 'Tashkent Files' starring Pallavi Joshi and Mithun Chakraborty released today. The movie tries to find the answer to the reason behind the mysterious death of PM Lal Bahadur Shastri.

The movie is not a commercial pot boiler but has garnered a lot of praise in the country and is also turning out to be a hit with the overseas audience. The public feels that besides being a greatly researched movie, it is also a good history lesson for all of us.

#TashkentFiles is not just a film; it is lesson of history & it will teach us about our past. So it must be watched & if you have children who are studying then it must be watched as a chapter from history which we weren't taught. Kudos @vivekagnihotri

We often forget the heroes who were not glorified for their contribution to the nation and this movie asks all the right questions.

#TashkentFiles brilliant work done by the director and actors.
With the Tashkent files director @vivekagnihotri have asked some serious questions. @shweta_official stands out in this well crafted movie.

I had the privilege to watch #Tashkentfiles at the special screening here in Mumbai. It is a brave movie that strikes the right cords. It gives into the history that has been shot down by the "the family" and their Romilaisque cronies. Must Watch.
Bravo @vivekagnihotri Sir ðð pic.twitter.com/SN7pr7FxzP

While the movie was in murky waters with a lot of people blaming it for stirring unwanted political agendas, the 'aam admi' is hailing the work of the director and the actors for fighting through all of it and opening the minds of Indians.

The #TashkentFiles releases 2day. It's an important film. If we even call it 1 of the most important films in our history, then too it won't be an exaggeration.

It takes lot of courage 2 make a film like this & credit must go to Vivek Agnihotri. Please go & watch it.
