Honor 20 Pro's Release Has Been Put On Hold Because Of Tensions With The US

Just two days after Google cut its ties with Huawei putting the company smartphone business in jeopardy, Honor launched its new 'Honor 20 Series phones as planned. Not the best timing, right?

While the launch event happened as per the plan, it looks like the company might not release its new flagship, the Honor 20 Pro, anytime soon. That's right, the Honor 20 Pro's launch' has been put on hold indefinitely due to the on-going tensions between Huawei and the US.

According to a new report, the flagship Honor 20 Pro failed to complete Google's certification process before the whole fiasco started last week. So, if Honor decides to release the phones in the market as planned, then it will have to ship the phones without the Google Play Store or Google's apps. Yes, the phones are awesome, but they're no good without the Play Store or Google apps.

Due to the same reasons, it appears that the company has also put its marketing campaigns on hold for a couple of weeks. So, yes, things are really not working in favour of Honor and Huawei.

In case you remember, Honor also debuted the Honor 20 and the Honor 20 Lite with the Honor 20 Pro. As far as those phones are considered, they'll be released as planned and avoid any delays. Why? Because they were apparently certified prior to the ban. All three phones were also set to debut in India early next month, but we doubt if that's going to happen now.
