MP Priest Performs A Couple's Wedding, Runs Away With The Bride After Two Weeks

Can you guess who's the second most important person, after the bride-groom of course, at any wedding? It's not the family members or relatives. It's the pundit aka the priest who is given the duty to perform their wedding. While the families usually thank the priest for performing the rituals and everything, there's one groom who is probably cursing his wedding priest right now.

In a bizarre incident, a priest in Madhya Pradesh, who performed a couple's wedding ran away with the bride two weeks after their wedding. The incident happened in Tori Bagrod, Sironj city. The couple got married on May 7 and the priest ran away with the bride on May 23.

In fact, on May 23rd, the priest was supposed to perform another wedding, but when people couldn't locate him they searched and found out that he had eloped with the woman, who had come to her parents' house as per the post wedding rituals.

According to a report in Dainik Bhaskar, the girl's relatives have registered a complaint. According to the locals, the bride and the priest, who is already married and has two kids, were in a relationship since the past two years. In fact, the priest's whole family was missing since that day and so is the jewellery and cash worth over Rs 1.5 lakh that the bride ran away with.

While this entire incident is bizarre, we feel really bad for the groom.
