Ever since the first trailer for the live-action remake of the Disney classic and my all-time favourite movie, 'The Lion King' dropped, I have been literally counting the days until its release.

I'm going to be honest, the wait is killing me! It physically hurts!

Watching furry little baby Simba sneezing in the trailer, damn near broke my heart, as it was exactly like the animated version from 1994. Every detail was perfect!

What I like about the live-action version is that it seems to be sticking to the old recipe, and is not trying hard to be different or pull out some crazy tricks from a new hat in an attempt to set itself apart from the original.

Why fix what isn't broken, right? Sigh…wish someone had told that to the makers of 'Aladdin'.

Okay. I don't wanna go there now. It's a Pandora's Box, and I am still trying to get over what my eyes witnessed in the hall!

Anyway, last week, we finally got to hear the voice of Beyonce as Nala, and man! She sounds good. I mean, when has she ever not?

That was a convincing bunch of seconds when we got to hear her asking Simba to come home and finally take his place as the rightful king of the Pride Lands.

Oh man, I just can't wait to 'feel the love tonight' between these two!

A few days ago, a new Japanese trailer for the movie was dropped and it contained some deliciously fresh clips, giving us a taste of what was in store for us.

Besides the iconic “everything the light touches” scene, the new clip shows baby Simba and Mufasa rolling about and having a fun father-son moment, which was so freaking adorable! (I am going to have such a hard time controlling myself from squealing when I see little Simba on the big screen!)

Mufasa is seen trying to teach Simba the art of tracking prey and poor Zazu becomes the casualty!

This took me right back to the 'I just can't wait to be king' track, which focuses on the push-and-pull chemistry between the two.

Guys, keep mentally preparing yourself for July 19th 2019. You need to be ready for the freight train of feels and emotions that's gonna hit us. For us 90s kids in particular, it's going to be a landmark day. So, 'Be Prepared'.

The movie is directed by Jon Favreau. The cast includes Donald Glover (Simba), Beyonce (Nala), James Earl Jones (Mufasa) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Scar).
