United States President Donald Trump is known to have a way with words. And, of course, that isn't anything to do with great use of the English vocabulary or enlightening his audience to insightful remarks. Instead, Trump often ends up making headlines and courting controversy by expressing his beliefs and opinions under the public glare.
And this aspect of his personality isn't coming to light just now, it's been around since time immemorial.
Remember, new "environment friendly" lightbulbs can cause cancer. Be careful-- the idiots who came up with this stuff don't care.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 17, 2012
Even his latest diplomatic visit to the United Kingdom was met with protests and sloganeering, as thousands took to the streets of London to voice their dissent against Trump's visit to the country. (FYI, Trump denied that Londoners were protesting against his visit and called the demonstrations “fake news” though as many as 75,000 people participated in the protests.)
However, the latest reason why Trump is yet again trending on social media is because of his most recent tweet.
For all of the money we are spending, NASA should NOT be talking about going to the Moon - We did that 50 years ago. They should be focused on the much bigger things we are doing, including Mars (of which the Moon is a part), Defense and Science!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 7, 2019
Yes, you read that right. Hours ago, Trump hit out at NASA and said that it shouldn't consider going to the moon as an achievement since the feat was already ticked off 50 years ago. Instead, the space agency should focus on “bigger things”.
The tweet only confused people further, because the Trump government had earlier announced their plans to restart moon landings by 2024.
As @POTUS said, @NASA is using the Moon to send humans to Mars! Right now, @MarsCuriosity and @NASAInSight are on Mars and will soon be joined by the Mars 2020 rover and the Mars helicopter. pic.twitter.com/Br1sTYfNzd— Jim Bridenstine (@JimBridenstine) June 7, 2019
But that's not all. While talking about the need for NASA to shift its focus on bigger things such as Mars, Trump ended up suggesting that the moon is a part of Mars.
This major goof-up didn't go unnoticed, and people on social media cannot seem to stop themselves from sharing a great laugh at the expense of the US President and his choice of words.

I know reading isn't really your thing so here are some pictures!
That red circley thing— That is Mars.
That smaller white circley thing— That is the Moon.

Yeah sorry I just straight up stole Earth's moon. I got kinda jealous— Mars (@4thFromOurStar) June 8, 2019
The Moon is as much a part of Mars
As honesty is part of Sarah Sanders
As reality is part of Giuliani
As sanity is part of Hannity
As Christianity is part of the Coultergeist
As compassion is part of Republicans
As piracy is part of Space
As genius is part of Trump
