Gully Boy is inspired by the lives of Indian street rappers Divine and Naezy, who started small and ended up joining the league of prominent artists in India.

Divine (Vivian Fernandes) hit to fame after his track 'Ye Mera Bombay' impressed everyone. He made his way up in the world of Hindi rapping and is currently an inspiration for many youngsters in the country who dream big, despite not having much.
