Shivashish Chanda, a Sports PR Specialist who has worked with clients like Laureus World Sports and FC Pune City, is popular for having one of the more versatile beards. 

Chanda, who is also a fitness enthusiast and likes to indulge in adventure sports, loves experimenting and changes his beard style every 15 days. 

Here's what he had to say about what it takes to maintain a versatile beard like his:

What is your beard story?

I never really shaved in the past couple of years. In fact, I don't recall seeing myself clean-shaven at all, it's been a while. Being a man, I feel that the beard is really important to me as it personifies the real me. The feel of having facial hair growth signifies ruggedness and I like that.

What is your beard maintenance routine?

So, I wash it every day with a regular face wash and this step is sacrosanct for me. Further, I oil it once in a while, and whenever I have a party to go to in the evening, I use a bit of hair wax. Other than that, I trim my beard using a trimmer that has a really good titanium coated blade.

When you started growing your beard, did you face any difficulties?

Thankfully not, I was blessed with great genes with my dad and uncle. They both have great thick beards. So, I never had any such problems. The trick is to keep experimenting, that's how you grow it the way you want to.

Some beard grooming products that are must-haves according to you.

First and foremost, every guy should invest a good trimmer, preferably one with a long a battery life that charges quickly. That makes my life a lot easier. Other than that, I think a beard oil is essential in keeping your beard soft. A beard wax also helps to shape the beard and a beard wash to take care of the beard and the skin underneath it.

How often do you get compliments for your beard?

Usually, when I have an event in the night, I jazz up my beard a little and that's when I get the most compliments.

A beard style you'd like to try?

Sergio Ramos' beard style is iconic and I would love to try that out. 

What's your opinion on handlebar moustaches?

I love them and, in fact, I style a handlebar whenever I have to go to a wedding.
