Sourav Ganguly's Airport Selfie With Fans Proves This BCCI President Is Unlike Anyone

One of the most successful Indian captains, Sourav Ganguly carved his own niche in the gentleman's game on the back of brutally honest approach. Unlike MS Dhoni, whose tenure as Indian captain rarely saw him expressing himself on the field, Ganguly was not the one to mince words or hide his emotions after an emphatic win.

Even when he called time on career, Ganguly didn't change his approach. Often seen in the commentary box, the former Indian captain's honest take and game analysis continued to make him one of the most respected voices in cricket.

From being a cricketer, then becoming a commentator and now taking the role of an administrator, Ganguly is now looked upon as an agent of change following his appointment as the new President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Taking up the high-profile position with the BCCI, the 47-year-old has already began fixing the gaping holes in the Indian set-up. He recently held discussions with National Cricket Academy's Chief Rahul Dravid to give new shape to its infrastructure and nurture budding talents in Bangalore.

Then, he convinced Virat Kohli & Co. for a day-night Test against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens in a bid to promote the longest format.

While his antics in the past few days since his appointment as new BCCI chief has already garnered praise, Ganguly's humility and consideration for Indian cricket fans was recently in full display and struck a chord with everyone on social media.

After meeting his former teammate and good friend Dravid at the NCA, Ganguly was spotted at the Bangalore airport where a barrage of fans howled him for photos and autographs.

But, unlike other celebrities, who seem to avoid large crowds these days, Ganguly obliged the fans with cute airport selfie. After clicking a photo with the fans, Ganguly took to Twitter and shared the picture that was captioned, "At the check in airport of bangalore..love of people makes u feel so grateful".

Ganguly's tweet took the social media by storm as Indian cricket fans hailed the new BCCI Chief for his sweet gesture.

Dada, you have no idea how much crazy fan following you have in Bangalore! :) ♥ï¸
