Everybody wants to be good at mobile photography and Adobe is making it easier for everyone to take impressive pictures. The software company announced a mobile camera app that will be coming to iOS and Android devices soon.

The final version of the app will launch in 2020, however, it is currently available as a preview.

Adobe has been bringing mobile versions of its popular desktop applications to mobile phones as the company already has a camera pp called Lightroom CC. However, the Photoshop Camera will work in a different way as Lightroom will use Adobe's artificial intelligence engine, Sensei.

With the application, mobile photographers will be able to take and create stunning images and use Photoshop features powered by AI. The app will let users take an image, edit and export images from the app itself. There will also be preset filters and different editing options that will adapt according to the style of the image.

The Photoshop Camera app will be able to automatically detect portraits, food, landscapes and other subjects. For example, users will be able to change a photo taken in the day as if it was taken at night. Similarly, in Landscape images, users will be able to change the lighting, colour and even replace entire skies.

To be fair, we've seen some of these features on smartphones where users can replace entire skies or recognise subjects using AI. What Photoshop Camera does is integrate all of these features into one single application. The standout feature is that the application will have creative “lenses” that adds animated and 3D objects to an image.

We will be using the app soon to find out if it is any good or exceptional as a photography app. It could be a game-changer for many smartphone users or could just be a gimmick like any other third-party camera app.
