While terms such as “inclusivity” and “equality” continue to be the raging keywords in India right now, a happy news has reached us that is leaving a fuzzy feeling in people's hearts and shedding a completely different light on these terms.

India is all set to get its first university for transgenders and we couldn't be happier to share this news with you guys. The university for the transgender community will be opened in Uttar Pradesh's Kushinagar district.

The best part is that the university will offer classes from standard one till Post Graduation and even research and PhD degree. Being built by the Akhil Bhartiya Kinnar Siksha Seva Trust (All-India transgender education service trust), the aim is to facilitate the education of transgenders from all over the country.

Talking to the media, President of the trust Dr Krishna Mohan Mishra said, “It is the first of its kind in the country where members of transgender community will be able to get education and the process of has already been initiated. From January 15 next year, two children who are brought up by the community members will get admission and from February and March other classes will start.”
