Farhan Akhtar's recent tweet on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) seems to be haunting him as a lot of people don't seem to be ready to forgive him for apparently 'spreading misinformation' over the new act.
Just recently, he took to Twitter to share the first look of his upcoming movie Toofan...
He wrote, “When life gets harder, you just get stronger. Iss saal #Toofan uthega. Releasing on 2.10.2020 @mrunal0801 @SirPareshRawal @ritesh_sid @RakeyshOmMehra @urfvijaymaurya @ShankarEhsanLoy @Javedakhtarjadu @excelmovies @ROMPPictures @ZeeMusicCompany #AnjumRajabali @AAFilmsIndia.”

— Farhan Akhtar (@FarOutAkhtar) January 2, 2020However, as soon he shared the first look, people started flooding his social media with negative comments, saying they want to boycott the movie over his CAA tweet.
Here are the reactions:

— Red_Cc (@KrishK74) January 2, 2020Well, we don't know what to say about this, however, a person's work should not really suffer because of their political opinions.
Coming back to the movie, Farhan looks extremely convincing as a boxer for the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra film.
Toofan is Farhan's second collaboration with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra after the hit sports biopic, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013).
In an interview, Mehra said, “Toofan is a story that will move and motivate all of us. It's so much fun to collaborate with Farhan yet again. He does not act the part but becomes one. I can't wait to share the film with the audience.”
Toofan is co-produced by Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment and ROMP Pictures. The film is scheduled to be released on October 2 this year.
