Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the US President Donald Trump at Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhai Patel International Airport on Monday. This is Trumpâs maiden visit to India and is solely focused on strengthening the ties between the two countries.

President Trump arrived with his wife Melania Trump and a team of 12-member delegation along with his daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner in India.  

The Trumps first visited the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad and then headed towards the âNamaste Trumpâ rally held at Motera stadium, the biggest cricket stadium in the world. 

However, several moments since their arrival have given way to a meme fest on social media. Trumpâs speech invoking Sachin Tendulkar and DDLJ, and his visit to the Taj Mahal have since inspired hilarious jokes and memes from people from across the country on Twitter. 

Also, since Trumpâs arrival, hashtags such as #TrumpIndiaVisit #NamasteTrump #TrumpIndia have been trending on social media.

President Trumpâs visit to the Sabarmati Ashram and his signature on the visitorâs book prompted these reactions. He wrote, "The Taj Mahal inspires awe. A timeless testament to the rich and diverse beauty of Indian culture. Thank you, India.â

According to the news reports, Trump will hold delegation-level talks with PM Modi in Delhi on the last day of his India visit.
