The actor is now all set for the release of his upcoming sports drama '83.

Recently, he took to his official social media handle and posted a still from '83 and captioned the photo saying, 'This is '83.'

In the picture, he is seen lifting the World Cup trophy with a big smile on his face looking like former Indian skipper Kapil Dev and going by the picture, we can say that the make up artists have done a commendable job in making sure that Ranveer looks the part.

Just after he shared the picture on Twitter, people were beyond surprised to see Ranveer's uncanny resemblance with Kapil Dev and are even saying that this is going to be a milestone in Ranveerâs career.

'83 chronicles Indian cricket team's win at 1983 World Cup starring Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev. 

Earlier, the actor had shared several pictures of himself as the cricketer and the resemblance of the actor with the former captain is praise-worthy.

In an earlier interview, when Ranveer was asked about how he felt when he got the offer, he said, "I was born at the time when cricket was big time. When Kabir Sahab (director Kabir Khan) had come to me and said that there will be a film on '83, I was like 'finally'. And when he was narrating it to me, I was like 'woooh'! It is not a story just about cricket but a human story."

The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Saqib Saleem, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Hardy Sandhu, Jiiva, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Jatin Sarna, and Chirag Patil, among others.
