Sidharth Shukla Opens Up On How His Super Mom Raised Him & How He Owes Everything To Her

This season of Bigg Boss was one of the toughest and the longest in the history of TV in terms of content and controversies. This also meant that fans found their hits and misses in their favourite contestants. The winner Sidharth Shukla who crossed various hurdles to emerge as the winner is currently riding high on the winner tide. When the TV actor is not being papped on the streets of Mumbai, heâs being pinned as the true love of fellow contestant Shehnaaz Gill, who was very vocal about her love for him. On occasion of International Womenâs day, Sidharth spoke to the lovely people running The Official Humans Of Bombay and shared a candid confession about his mother. The actor spoke about how the hardest part of enduring the time period inside the reality show set was not the struggles but the fact that he had to stay away from his mother for such a long spell of time. He opened up about how his mother single-handedly ran the house with limited finances after the demise of his father and never stopped being his biggest cheerleader ever, something that doesnât surprise us because mommies are basically magical beings filled with love.

View this post on InstagramâPeople know me as a man with a rough exterior. But Iâll always melt for my mom. Right from the time I was born, sheâs been the most important person in my life. I was the youngest of 3 kids & too small to play with my sisters, so I was always around mom. Back when I was a toddler, Iâd cry if I had to go a second without herâso even while making rotis, sheâd hold me in one hand & the roller in another! As I grew older, she became my best friend! Every time I came back home after playing, weâd talk about everything under the sunâwhile other kids were hiding things from their parents, I wanted to tell her all about my life! Sheâs taught me so much tooâI was a naughty kid whoâd get away with trouble. But when mom told me to always be honest, I immediately owned up to my mistakes. When dad passed away 15 years ago, it felt like the umbrella over us had been taken away. But my mom was our rockâshe never showed any signs of vulnerability. Despite our poor finances, she ran the house, looked after 3 kids & fulfilled all our demands! I know now that she mustâve had to sacrifice so much to give us what we wanted. She even played a pivotal role in helping me find my passion. I used to act like the âcool guyââso to âteach me a lessonâ, she sent me for a modeling contest thinking Iâd be put in my place! Funnily enough, I actually won! So, even on a subconscious level, sheâs been a guiding force in my life. Recently, I was on Big Boss & for the first time, I didnât speak to her for months. I know it doesnât sound too cool to say it at 39âbut being away from her was the toughest part of the show. So, when I received a letter from her on set, I sat & read it in her voiceâit felt like she was right next to me & that letter was a piece of her. Every time she tells me sheâs proud of me, I feel like the happiest man on earth, because I was able to put a smile on her face; a woman who means everything to me. Even today, sheâs my anchor & never fails to give me her daily dose of adviceâwhen I finally saw her on set after 3 long months, the first thing she told me was to stop wearing shorts all the time & to put on a pair of jeans!â #HappyWomensDayA post shared by (@officialhumansofbombay)

He, in fact, owes it to his mom for being a successful TV actor today. He mentioned that since he was always a naughty kid putting up an act, his mother forced him to participate in a modelling contest which he surprisingly won and eventually found his calling in life. Mothers are angels who make us believe in love and besides being his biggest cheerleader, she is also a typical âmummyâ who scolded her son when she saw him after three months on the show and asked him to stop wearing shorts.

I guess his fans are now a bigger fan of his mother than Sidharth himself now!
