Shahid Kapoor was last seen in Kabir Singh, the most controversial film of his career, however, the film was a smash hit at the Box Office despite the tidal wave of criticism it received, particularly towards Shahid's character. 

Not only this, the film was named the most-searched film to top the list of Google Indiaâs 019 trends leaving behind filmâs like Joker, Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel and Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Now, after the success of Kabir Singh, the audience is waiting for Shahid Kapoorâs Telugu remake of Jersey.  

The actor is all set to play a cricketer in the film and is doing everything possible to get into character and according to TOI, he is now being trained by Rohit Sharmaâs coach and mentor Dinesh Lad. 

The makers of Jersey, besides roping in the noted coach to train Shahid, are also ensuring that the actor is getting trained under State-level Ranji Trophy coaches as well.

Shahid is also going to be trained by an eight-member team that will include certified trainers and experts. The actor has already played cricket at college and club-level events and now, all this intensive training is sure to help him to get into the skin of his character perfectly.  

Being trained by Mr Lad is nothing but a privilege, anyone who knows anything about cricket is aware of that fact, and Shahid too can't wait to hone his skills under the skilled coach.

He has already taken a few sessions from Mr Lad on batting techniques and has also learned different stroke styles from the coach.  

The audience is already thrilled to see the first look of the film nd is eagerly expecting another hit from the acclaimed actor. 

Half of the film has already been shot and Shahid is still continuing to train under state-level coaches. The film is currently being shot in Haryana and the actor is training under the state coaches for the same.
