The deadly Coronavirus has claimed more than 4,000 lives globally, so far, and it is getting worse beyond our imagination.  

In the first case of a noted celebrity being infected, veteran American actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson have been recently diagnosed with the virus while they were filming in Australia.

The 63-year-old Academy Award-winning actor has been an integral part of everyoneâs childhood by voicing the iconic Toy Story character, Sherrif Woody. 

The actor was filming Baz Luhrmannâs untitled movie about Elvis Presley on the Gold Coast, when this development came to light.  

He recently took to social media and confirmed the devastating report himself.

He wrote, âHello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive. 

Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanksâ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requirements. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?â 

Who could have imagined that out of all people, Tom Hanks would test positive with the virus?

According to the WHO, there are currently more than 120 confirmed coronavirus cases, so far, in Australia and itâs getting worse each passing day. 

In the most recent development, the WHO has officially declared that the Coronavirus, which is sweeping the planet, is a pandemic.
