Twitter is a unique world on its own. The microblogging platform is a melting pot where the worldâs greatest and its most commonplace individuals can get a chance to share and interact. 

But whatâs also true is the fact that much like most social media platforms, Twitter too is often misused by people. 

Individuals overstep their sense of liberty and entitlement to plague and hurt others, and for the same reason Twitter has the provision of suspending accounts. Be it temporary or permanent, Twitter account suspensions, especially those of famous people, create a lot of buzz and for obvious reasons.

Kangana Ranautâs dear sister, spokesperson and personal cheerleader Rangoli Chandel is the most recent celebrity whose account was suspended by Twitter for violating its community guidelines by hurting peopleâs personal and religious sentiments through her tweets. 

Reportedly, following the attack on police and health workers amid the coronavirus outbreak in India, Rangoli tweeted saying, âA Jamati died of Corona when police and doctors went to check their families they were attacked and killed, secular media, make these mullahs + secular media stand in a line and shoot them dead...f****k the history they may call us nazis who cares, life is more imp than fake image (sic).â 

Well, weâd say she had it coming for a long time.

The famous Swedish YouTuberâs Twitter account was suspended temporarily back in 2016 for reportedly for pretending to be a member of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), otherwise known as the IS. 

Yes, it was all a joke and his stupid attempt at playing along with a piece of fake news doing the rounds on Twitter following his decision to un-verify himself on the social media platform. Itâs obvious that not every joke is funny.

Once-popular Bollywood singer Abhijeet has turned pretty weird over the years. He has often been caught publicly putting out offensive comments and crass remarks. 

Well, in 2017 this became the reason why his Twitter account was suspended. Abhijeet had posted a series of offensive tweets against JNU student-activist Shehla Rashid after she tweeted against BJP. 

His tweets were condemned and reported, finally resulting in the suspension of his account temporarily.

In November 2017, US President Donald Trumpâs official Twitter account was deactivated by an outgoing Twitter employee on his last day of work at the microblogging company. 

The deactivation lasted for 11 minutes before it was identified and restored. Twitter made a statement saying the suspension happened âdue to human error by a Twitter employeeâ. 

Many Twitter users lauded the unnamed person for doing the deed.

In the same year of 2017, (in)famous personality KRKâs Twitter account was also suspended. 

The self-proclaimed âbestâ film criticâs account was suspended after he revealed the climax of Advait Chandanâs Secret Superstar in his tweets. Thatâs not all, he even criticized the movie on Twitter and made personal attacks on Aamir Khan. 

Reportedly, KRK said that he planned to take legal action against Twitter and later created a new account.
