For someone who was was cut from a football team and lived in Florida with only $7 in his pocket, Dwayne Johnson, popularly known as 'The Rock, has now become one of the most inspiring success stories for the youth. 

Born into a family of pro wrestlers, it was only a matter of time for Johnson to follow in the footsteps of his parents, but no one could have anticipated where the young lad would eventually reach in the years to come.

Making his debut in World Wrestling Federation (WWF), rechristened as WWE later, in 1996, the budding wrestler had his own share of struggles initially. But, under the tutelage of his idol Bret 'The Hitman' Hart, the youngster embarked on a journey that eventually took him to the pinnacle of pro wrestling. 

Winning his first WWF Championship in 1998, 'The Rock' played a key role in helping the WWF usher into the 'Attitude Era' - a boom period in the company's business in the late 90s and early 2000s which still holds professional wrestling records for TV ratings. In 2004, he left WWE to pursue an acting career and went on a seven-year hiatus before returning as a part-time performer in 2011.

He eventually announced his retirement from WWE for good in 2019 but by the time he was done, 'The Rock' had established himself as one of the greatest professional wrestlers and biggest draws of all-time. Today, he is not only a wrestling legend but also a successful actor, producer and businessman. 

With an estimated net worth of over $300 million, 'The Rock' has pretty much everything one can dream of. Thanks to his massive fanbase, he is also making an absolute killing on social media. According to the Instagram Richlist for 2019, the 47-year-old earns a whopping $882,000 (Rs 6,73,73,775) per post. 

While a lot of celebrities have their own ways of monetising their posts, the success mantra for 'The Rock' is pretty simple: be yourself.
