Earlier today, Facebook announced hat it has invested a huge chunk of money to fuel the expansion of JioMart. 

But what exactly is JioMart and how is this going to help any of us? Well, here's everything that you need to know.

JioMart is essentially an online marketplace that connects retailers to consumers. In simple terms, it's a portal where the retailers will list their products for the consumers to browse through and purchase online.

JioMart, however, won't have any warehouses of its own unlike, say, Amazon or Flipkart. Instead, it'll allow local merchants or Kirana stores to list their products on the portal. You can simply browse and pick the items you like and buy them online.

Jio, as we all know, is known for luring customers with attractive offers. The telecom operator made a huge splash in the market back in the day when it launched for the time in 2016. Since then, Jio has now grown to become the #1 telecom operator with most subscribers in the country. 

So, obviously, we can expect some really crazy deals here. The website says "Never seen before savings" already, so we can only expect what's about to come.

Looks like JioMart will also be offering free delivery and other options like easy returns. It's hard to comment about the service just yet because we haven't had the first-hand experience using JioMart.
