Movie buffs can rejoice now as Netflix is coming up with yet another promising horror treat for this year’s Halloween.

Starring Shabana Azmi in a pivotal role, Kaali Khuhi is a nail-biting horror story. In the much-awaited film, 10-year-old Shivangi must save her family's village in Punjab from the ghosts of its horrific past.

The OTT giant released the film’s highly anticipated teaser today. The 30-second teaser offers stunning visuals, with some ominous music and creepy moments leaving people intrigued and excited.

Helmed by Terrie Samundra, this Halloween treat has been produced by Anku Pande and Ramon Chibb. Other than Shabana Azmi, the film also features Sanjeeda Shaikh, Satyadeep Mishra and Riva Arora among others in significant roles. 

Meanwhile, Netflix will also release other interesting horror projects such as the horror-comedy Hubie Halloween, The Haunting of Bly Manor, the Rebecca Remake starring Armie Hammer, Nobody Sleeps in the Woods Tonight, and His House.

As a viewer, I am intrigued by Shabana’s powerful presence in the teaser and what's worth pointing out is that Shabana has given praise-worthy performances in the past in the horror genre as well. Remember Makdee?

Besides, it's also interesting to note how Indian horror flicks have been working really well on Netflix. The trend of horror movies has drastically changed as filmmakers are now playing around with psychologically powerful content to keep you on the edge of your seat.

We have already seen Pari and Bulbbul in this space and with OTT giving chances to experiment, the filmmakers are leaving no stone unturned.

Kaali Khuhi falls into that space and we will have to wait till October 30 to see the mystery unfold.
