Just at the beginning of the year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi went all out for his special mitr Doland, oh I mean, Donald Trump when the US president came to India for a visit. 

From spending massive amounts of money to personally being a tour guide, PM Modi definitely did everything he could to make his special guest feel welcome in the country. They were basically BFF goals back then.

But now, Donald Trump has completely turned his back on India, even after so much hospitality just back in February, and ended up saying "India is filthy" in the freaking US Presidential Debate.

During the discussion about the climate crisis with Democratic rival Joe Biden, he defended his decision of US leaving the Paris Accord by calling the air in countries like India, China, and Russia filthy. 

Hmm, I wonder how Vladimir Putin is going to react to this since he's basically the reason Trump is the President, or so they say. 

In the debate, he said, "Look at China, how filthy it is. Look at Russia, look at, India, it’s so filthy, the air is filthy. The Paris accord, I took us out because we were going to have to spend trillions of dollars, and we were treated very unfairly when they put us in there, they did us the greatest service. They were going to take away our businesses."

The 'filthy India' remark, obviously, has not gone down well with the people of the country who are clearly pissed off, and are now drawing contrasts with how PM Modi has always been Trump's biggest supporter and this is how he's being paid back.

Modi had spent ₹3.7 crores on flowers & covered up the slums to beautify Trump's route for the 'Namaste Trump' rally in Ahmedabad.
