On the day the captain of the Indian cricket team and that of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli is being slammed by the Indian Premier League fans for being too arrogant, a video of him checking up on pregnant wife, Anushka Sharma has surfaced online.

The video is from the match between Kohli’s RCB and Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings on October 25, in which the cameramen caught a conversation between the 31-year-old Indian cricketer and his wife perfectly.

While on the field, presumably in the middle of a pre-match team meeting, Kohli can be seen looking towards the stands where the actress was seated and asking her whether she ate or not, in gestures.

Anushka nods her head in agreement and gives him a ‘thumbs up’.

Fans of the power couple were overwhelmed by the cricketer’s gesture and lauded him online:

Even Though Anushka is pregnant, she came in stadium to support Virat Kohli. win or lose doesn't matter but her Support for Virat Kohli is just Amazing. This girl gives her 200% Everytime at any situation @AnushkaSharma We love u ma'am ️ pic.twitter.com/E9ThQMgrm9

The video went viral a day after Kohli was seen sledging Mumbai Indians cricketer Suryakumar Yadav in the middle of the IPL match. Kohli was criticised for unnecessarily trying to get under his opponent’s skin.

While sledging has always been a part of the cricketer’s playstyle, fans are angry as Yadav has been playing in exceptional form but was snubbed from being included in the roster for Team India and have speculated that Kohli’s ‘out of the blue’ reaction had to do “BCCI politics”.

Surya:- Is there any place in Team India.
Kohli:- No Bro, we have RCB quota.

In yesterday match, Kohli came to sledge #SuryakumarYadav during the break and surya left like a gentleman, such a shameful act by virat kohli, didn't expect this from a batsman like virat#SuryakumarYadav #MIvsRCB #BCCIpolitics pic.twitter.com/AVjMN8ZNNX

The two incidents show very different sides of one man. One is the guy who is extremely loving and caring and goes out of his way to look after those he cares about.

The other side belongs to this extremely competitive man who will try every technique in the book to get the better of you and try to create psychological warfare, distracting the opponent from what they are trying to achieve.

It is arguably because of these two personalities that Virat Kohli remains one of the most polarising men in the world of sports, especially cricket. He, maybe with a handful of people, therefore, boast the equal level of fans and haters.

The sweetest ‘bad man’ in cricket? We think so!
