Now that the cold weather has nestled in and there’s significantly less moisture in the air, our skin and particularly our lips will start drying up at a faster rate.
From the initial chapped lips to visibly flaky lips to even bleeding, the whole process is rather unpleasant to deal with.
The reason why most of us are prone to chapped lips in the first place is that the lips do not have their own oil factories. Moreover, dehydration, low humidity, acute sun exposure, constant lip-licking, allergic or irritant reactions, and even certain medications can trigger chapped lips.
Fortunately, there are a couple of ways to treat chapped lips. These include:
1. Wear Lip Balm Throughout The Day__ECOMPRODUCT__877__
Use a lip balm with emollient and occlusive ingredients like oils, petrolatum, and waxes that help lock in the moisture into the skin.
Here's an unscented one with cocoa butter and Vitamin E that we recommend. However, wearing it once a day won't help, make sure you're using it as much as you can.
2. Avoid Common Irritants For The Skin
