The BJP IT Cell is something else, as everyone seems to have rather strong opinions about it and it really does differ a lot, depending on what side you're on.

We have all seen 'fake news' spread online like wildfire and it's even more disappointing, but not surprising, to see propaganda coming from sources that are supposed to be reliable and reputed. 

But, looks like Twitter India has finally woken up and gotten 'woke'.

The first 'manipulated media' tag on Tweets is finally here in India and BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya had the honour bestowed upon him.

A couple of days ago, he quote Tweeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and shared a 'propaganda vs reality' video and tried to refute the claim that an old Sikh farmer was actually not hit by the cops during the protests.

He really thought he did something and won the round against RaGa, but Twitter came charging and flagged down his Tweet as 'manipulated media'.

What a day, the entire thing is so hilarious because this man runs the country's ruling party's IT cell. Actually, it's as hilarious as it is shameful.

I can already predict the next boycott on Twitter - Boycott Twitter. The irony will make the entire thing even better. Or maybe, the upset people can move to discount Twitter, the swadeshi Tooter.

The original video is a longer one where the farmer gets hit by another policeman and is running away.

The video shared by Mr Amit is intended to show that the farmer was trying to provoke police by coming near to them.
