Virat Kohli's Doppelganger Takes Social Media By Storm After Making A Cameo In 3rd T20I

Having already secured the three-match series 2-0, the Indian cricket team would have been aiming for a whitewash when they took the field against Australia in the 3rd and final T20I at the Sydney Cricket Ground on 8th December.

But, the hosts, eventually, managed to hold their nerves to eke out a 12-run victory, finishing the series on a winning note.

Asked to bat, Australia romped their way to a competitive total of 186 runs on the back of brilliant knocks from Matthew Wade (80) and Glenn Maxwell (54). The likes of Shardul Thakur (1-43) and Yuzvendra Chahal (0-41) had a forgettable outing, with Washington Sundar (2-34) being the only silver lining for the Indian bowling unit.

Captain Kohli tried to keep the tourists in the hunt, but his efforts eventually went in vain as India could only manage to score 174/7 in 20 overs.

Despite losing the match by 11 runs, Kohli's batting efforts were hard to overlook as he played with great authority.

While the Indian captain garnered plaudits for his knock, he had already begun trending on social media much before he walked out to bat.

If the DRS controversy that left him in an animated chat with the on-field umpires caught everyone's attention, Kohli's doppelganger, who was spotted in the stands during Australia's innings, further took social media by storm.

A small clip of Kohli's doppelganger was widely shared on Twitter where the fans came up with hilarious memes and amusing reactions.

Earlier this year, amid the suspension of sporting events, Pakistani seamer Mohammad Amir had also found a doppelganger of his good friend Kohli.

Taking to Twitter, Amir had shared a picture of actor Cavit Cetin Guner from the Turkish TV series Dirilis: Ertugrul and asked the Indian captain if he had made his acting debut.
