The year 2020 has been a forgettable one for mankind in general, but for MS Dhoni fans it has proved to be heartbreaking. First, it was the news of Dhoni calling time on his international career that left cricket fans in a state of mourning.ย

And then, it was the sight of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) cutting a sorry figure in arguably one of his teams worst outing in IPL history.
But, as 2020 comes to an end, there is finally some good news for Dhoni and his fans.ย
The Jharkhand cricketer has been chosen by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as captain of both the men's ODI and T20I teams of the decade.ย

The ICC shared the teams of the decade across formats where Dhoni was seen beating the likes of Virat Kohli, Aaron Finch and AB de Villiers for the honour.

The Men's ODI Team of the Decade, led by Dhoni, was comprised of a batting line-up that included Rohit Sharma, David Warner, Kohli and De Villiers.ย

The likes of Shakib Al Hasan and Ben Stokes were also included in all-rounder's role. The bowling attack featured Mitchell Starc, Trent Boult, Imran Tahir and Lasith Malinga.

The Men's T20I Team of the Decade featured natural strikers of the ball including Rohit Sharma, Chris Gayle, Aaron Finch, Kohli, De Villiers, Glenn Maxwell and Dhoni. Kieron Pollard was also roped in as an all-rounder.ย
The bowling unit was comprised of T20 specialists Rashid Khan, Jasprit Bumrah and Malinga.

The Men's Test Team of the Decade, led by Indian skipper, saw the likes of Alastair Cook, David Warner and Kane Williamson occupying the top-order.ย

Kohli, Steve Smith and Kumar Sangakkara were added in the middle-order. Ben Stokes was the lone all-rounder to feature in the team which had Ravichandran Ashwin as a spinner and a pace-bowling trio of Dale Steyn, Stuart Broad and James Anderson.
