Late actor Irrfan Khan would have turned 54 today. Remembering his dad on his birth anniversary, Irrfan Khan’s elder son Babil took to Instagram and expressed how the actor never believed in celebrating birthdays but this time, but it is extremely difficult for him to forget it this time.

Babil shared an old video of Irrfan Khan, his mother Sutapa Sikdar, and his younger brother Ayaan. In the video you can see, Irrfan recording a video, while Sutapa joined thinking he was on a video call with Babil. Ayaan can be seen getting nervous as Irrfan Khan is recording a message for his son.

In the post’s caption, he wrote, “You never identified with institutions such as contractual marriage and birthday celebrations. Perhaps, that is why I don’t remember anyone’s birthdays because you never remembered mine and never encouraged me to remember yours. It was just normal to us what seemed absurd from the outside, we celebrated every day (bringing personal experiential authenticity to the cliche). On the occasion, Mamma would have to remind us both; but this time I could not forget yours if I tried. It’s your birthday Baba. Shoutout to all the technologically inept parents, notice that they did not finish saying that they miss me.”

This is the great actor Irrfan Khan’s first birth anniversary since his demise on April 29, 2020. Babil has been sharing throwback pictures of his father on Instagram since his death, giving his fans a more intimate peek into Irrfan’s life.
