Before something is actually unveiled at a place like the freaking Rashtrapati Bhavan, you would think that it would go through a crazy number of steps of inspection and approval.
But, after the recent blunder involving one portrait of "Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose" and one tweet by President Ram Nath Kovind, we now know that so many people can screw up all at once and give us all the entertainment we deserve.

It all started with our President unveiling a portrait that was supposed to be of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in honour of his 125th birth anniversary.

Figured out the problem?
The portrait in question is not even of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and looks like they unintentionally honoured Prosenjit Chatterjee instead.
The picture is actually of the actor's portrayal of the freedom fighter in the movie Gumnaami.
This honestly feels like a made-up incident because in what world would a screw-up that big actually happen?
All I know is that some poor intern is getting fired and I honestly feel bad.
Here's the real Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose who was supposed to be honoured.

So many comparisons to be made.
This is unbelievably hilarious. The Portrait that President of India Unveiled, it is is of Actor Prosenjit who played role of Netaji (Look at Eyes). That’s like unveiling Portrait of Ajay Devgan as Bhagat Singh https://t.co/voRxerFmoU
— Joy (@Joydas) January 25, 2021 People are rightfully angry.Imagine unveiling an actor's portrait as #NetajiSubhasChandraBose, the disrespect and ignorance is unbelievable. #presidentkovind https://t.co/QyijNSeTqF
— Nimisha Ahuja (@Nims_Ahuja) January 25, 2021 Seems about right. While you are at it, do not forget to inaugrate a portrait of Vivek Oberoi also playing Modiji...
— Krishnan (@krakinkrish) January 25, 2021 We all have. That's Prosenjit, the actor who played Netaji's character in the bengali biopic. I've seen enough for today 🤣 https://t.co/1MwK4T701N
— Ishan Arora (@aroraishan) January 25, 2021 Oops. The office of the President of India has indicated that the new parliament building will hang this portrait of Gandhi: pic.twitter.com/u5yCjqYpID
— Kranti Saran (@KrantiSaran) January 25, 2021 Funny and sad at the same time.President of India just unveiled the portrait of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Great news, right? RIGHT? The only problem is, this is not Bose. This is actor Prosenjit Chatterjee portraying Bose in the movie 'Gumnaami'. Not sure if funny or sad. https://t.co/R55ldc1vAu
— Worah (@psychedelhic) January 25, 2021 Dr. Manmohan Singh looks so different.Manmohan Singh According to @rashtrapatibhvn pic.twitter.com/OZgkxlwhqF
— Selmon_bhai (@Selmonbhai16) January 25, 2021 The actor must be over the moon.Desh agar whatsapp university k dum par chalega toh yehi haal rahega.
President Kovind unveils the portrait of actor Prosenjit Chatterjee who played #NetajiSubhasChandraBose in a film. The actor must be flattered! https://t.co/cFTxn0j19u
Going by President Kovind ji logic find Sardar Patel, Mangal Panday, Rani Lakshmi Bhai and Bhagat Singh picture
I am sorry how can u have movie star picture for Netaji in President of India Bhavan, speechless #BJP #subashchandrabose https://t.co/30rL8sdFzU pic.twitter.com/hLYO0elpdQ
So it turns out that this is a portrait of Prasenjit Chatterjee who acted as Netaji in a movie! Surely @rashtrapatibhvn could have found a nice original Netaji portrait to put up! https://t.co/9Ky7de6swn
— Rajdeep Sardesai (@sardesairajdeep) January 25, 2021 Well.I am a proud citizen of a country whose @rashtrapatibhvn cannot distinguish between an actor and a national hero. So much for the patriotism of @BJP4India. It has one again been proved that #BJP are true nationalists and the real freedom fighters. https://t.co/K9G1OtNJ8Z
— Sanjukta Choudhury (@SanjuktaChoudh5) January 25, 2021 Some people are trying to debunk the controversy.Netaji portrait in Rashtrapati Bhavan is based on this original photo (first picture). This is how Prosenjit looks in the movie (last picture). Needless controversy. pic.twitter.com/QeBu5xsnNr
— Aditya Raj Kaul (@AdityaRajKaul) January 25, 2021 Hmm.Next up Ravindranath Tagore https://t.co/kKlWqahIkl pic.twitter.com/yXa4Fs5zao
— Kunal Kamra (@kunalkamra88) January 25, 2021 What is it?This looks more like @prosenjitbumba in the Netaji film, than Netaji himself. Did they get it all mixed up? Or is it some photo of Netaji that’s not so common? https://t.co/MDE3OW8kmU
— Saurabh Gupta(Micky) (@MickyGupta84) January 25, 2021 No one does.This is not Netaji's picture.
This is @prosenjitbumba, who portrayed Netaji in @srijitspeaketh's Gumnaami.
I do not really know how to react. https://t.co/bjuutfjjfH
