Most countries across the world are struggling to secure enough vaccines for their population and in India, we are facing the opposite problem- plenty of shots but people are not willing to take them.

Recently, Dr. K K Aggarwal (President at Confederation of Medical Associations of Asia) was caught on live TV getting scolded by his wife for getting vaccine alone without informing her.

In the video, you can see Dr. KK Aggarwal’s wife calling him and asking him that whether or not he went to get vaccinated. To which he said, that he went to ask when can they all get the Coronavirus vaccine, but as there was no crowd, he got the shot then only. His wife started scolding him and said, “Bohot hee ajeeb ho tum, why wouldn’t you take me with you.”

Dr. KK Aggarwal then responded that he will take his wife on Monday on Live TV. And then later, his wife was heard saying, “abhi live aake, tumhaari aisi ki taisi karti hun.”

Many healthcare workers in India are hesitating because of safety concerns over a vaccine that hasn’t undergone its phase three trials yet. As of Monday, only 56% of people eligible to get the shots have decided to take the vaccine in a country where we are facing the world’s second-worst Covid-19 outbreak.
