Dog Waits For 3 days For Men Who Took Care Of Him But Were Stuck In Uttarakhand Flash Floods

Dogs are the most loyal creatures and one needs to learn from them how to love people and stay loyal. And an incident that took place amidst the recent flash floods in Uttarakhand is testimony that dogs are the most loyal of all species.

Recently, a two-year-old Bhutia breed dog named Blackie was found waiting outside the Tapovan dam tunnel that was demolished by the flash floods as a result of the glacier burst.

The adorable dog has been sitting at the same spot for the past three days as he is waiting for the return of the workers who fed him and took care of him.

Blackie was born near the area where the Hydel project of the NTPC was being developed. He grew up around the workers who worked at the project site and he used to come to meet them in the morning and then go back down the hill.

He usually would follow this routine and when on Sunday he went back up there, he couldn’t find any of the employees who used to pet him.

A resident named Ajeet Kumar told TOI, "He must have realized something was amiss. The place was full of strangers who paid no attention to him. Blackie used to laze around close to the project site.”

Another worker Rajendra Kumar said, “We would give him food, a sack to sleep on when we worked. Blackie would be around during the day and leave in the evening when we did.”

Not only this, but the teams also tried to shoo him away while the rescue operation was going on but he did not go and kept coming back to check for his friends. The local onlookers also noticed the presence of Blackie there and expressed that he was devastated and anxious throughout.

Currently, the local people from around the area are looking after him and we hope the rescue team will find the workers.

Earlier, the landslide in Kerala’s Munnar swept the houses of 81 people, and the pictures that came after were devastating and heartbreaking to another level. But, images of Kuvi, a country dog searching for his loved ones among the debris was even more shattering.

Even days after the disaster, Kuvi led the search and rescue team then found the body of a two-and-a-half-year-old girl who was missing.

The dog found the body of Dhanuska, whose family was the owner of the dog. The body of the little girl was found stuck in the debris in a river and had reached 4Kms away from the landslide spot.
