Rihanna vs a section of desi people, the ongoing battle with a new instalment.
A few weeks ago, Rihanna shared her support for the ongoing farmers' protest in India that resulted in a huge uproar and a conversation about India's internal matters remaining internal.
While Rihanna herself didn't say anything after her initial tweet, in regards to the protests in India and how much controversy her one tweet caused in our country, she has been a constant topic of conversation when discussing politics in India.
why aren’t we talking about this?! #FarmersProtest https://t.co/obmIlXhK9S
— Rihanna (@rihanna) February 2, 2021
Now, people who were already upset with her commenting on India's internal matters are blaming her even further for hurting their 'religious sentiments' because of a picture she posted on Twitter today.
when @PopcaanMusic said “me nuh wan ya wear no lingerie tonight fa me girl” @SavageXFenty pic.twitter.com/bnrtCZT7FB
— Rihanna (@rihanna) February 15, 2021
Wearing her lingerie line Savage Fenty, she posted a topless picture of herself and that should have been fine in itself, but there was just one problem.
People soon noticed that she's wearing a necklace of Lord Ganesha and started calling her out for 'cultural appropriation'.

People feel like she's hurting their religious sentiments.

— bserver (@BotwidAadhar) February 16, 2021For a change, people's concerns are a little valid.

— ᴮᴱKoya⁷ (@TheKoalaKoya) February 16, 2021Okay then.
She neither confirmed it not denied saying she follows hinduism. What if she does follow hinduism and wore that? Why do you assume bad of everything? 🏽♀️

Bitch it took you only 4 days to disrespect my religion AGAIN. Mad asf rn bc there's no way this isn't intentional. HOW do you walk onto religious grounds wearing lingerie and not knowing it's inappropriate? you're telling me you'd do that in front of a mosque or a church? https://t.co/Z0XzSS05ev pic.twitter.com/k87tQPt84G
— maharani (@rubicondream) February 15, 2021Valid.
