Twitter has been a platform where many odd topics tend to trend all day and today the micro-blogging website put forth a trend that not many people may know about. The hashtag ‘#iPhoneScam’ has been on top of the trending list today where many users posted about an alleged fraudster who had been scamming people.

The scam was called out by a YouTuber where the fraudster was allegedly offering iPhones at unbelievably low prices which didn’t really add up. Then a series of tweets and accusations against the individual made him a trending topic on the micro-blogging website.
A YouTuber by the name of Nishant Kumar Singh uploaded a video that exposed the fraudster and owner of Squeaks Media, Neel Patel. Patel has been accused of multiple scams including the latest involving his iPhone offerings. In the video, Singh discusses with a fellow presenter Rana how Patel has been behind many scams in the past.
According to the video and subsequently a Twitter thread, there are many scams Patel has been involved with and even accused his companies ‘Squeaks Media’ and ‘eGyaan’ of conning people regularly. In this instance, Patel has been accused that his latest venture ‘NaaradPay’ offers cheap iPhones to online customers. Patel has also been accused of manipulating his market credibility with the help of online influencers and not making deliveries of iPhones to customers who placed orders. According to the video, only a few people who placed orders received a cheap iPhone in order to make the scheme appear genuine.

Due to the fact that the scam got trending on social media, Patel took to Twitter to respond to some of his accusations. He says that the delivery of iPhones is delayed because of limited availability of the product, which doesn’t entirely add up. He declared the offer is not a scam and none of the accusations had any merit.
Creating unwanted controversy and forcing people to put a Tweet without listening side of story is what left now? Alr8 call me a scam but only with proof of after not getting proofs.

It is hard to determine whether the offer is a scam or not at this point but the trio is currently involved in a verbal battle on Twitter. While each party and their supporters have upped the ante when it comes to drama, it has now resulted in memes, verbal abuse and even more allegations.
It would be interesting to see how the situation gets resolved. Having said that, iPhones being offered at such low price often hints at foul play. Either these iPhones have been refurbished, stolen or acquired by other means which may not be eligible for official warranty. Our advice is to stay away from offers where things don’t entirely add up.
