So we’ve heard the silly news about a 200 rupee note, we’ve even heard news about a Rs 10,000 note (which was even a reality in 1938 and 1954) but we are actually excited about this piece of news. Who wouldn’t want to carry around a 2000 rupee note in their wallet? I mean, it might be hard to get actual change but we welcome the fresh notes, if this turns out to be true.

So, the news that there have been images of a Rs. 2000 note being circulated around the internet and there is no proof yet of how authentic these images are but Twitter is absolutely thrilled and the junta’s reaction has made it clear that people are more than happy to welcome this new addition to our banknotes.
