Adipurush cast has recently roped in Kriti Sanon to play Sita opposite Prabhas. Sunny Singh has also come on board to play the role of Laxman in the film. The new cast was announced on Friday morning and the actors took to social media to express the same.
Kriti Sanon took to social media and wrote, “A new journey begins.. #ADIPURUSH This one is too special.. Proud, honoured, and beyond excited to be a part of this magical world (sic).”

We will also see Saif Ali Khan in the film playing the role of Raavan. The movie will release on August 11, 2022. The movie has begun its production in February and it is Om’s directorial after his last successful blockbuster Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. He had said in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, “It’s interesting to play a demon king, fewer strictures in that. But we will make him humane, up the entertainment quotient, justify his abduction of Sita and the war with Ram as revenge for what was done to his sister Surpanakha by Lakshman, who cut off her nose."
This statement irked a lot of people and later he went on to apologize for the same. However, now a case has been filed against him by an advocate in Jaunpur, UP for his statements.
