From being the boy next door in Stree to playing Subash Chandra Bose, Rajkummar Rao has never failed to impress his audience with his versatility. The man has always taken up challenging roles and he never leaves any stone unturned when it comes to portraying his characters realistically on the big screen.

After Roohi’s release, Rajkummar is already gearing up for his next, Badhaai Do. In the movie, Rajkummar plays a cop named Shardul Thakur and is trying to transform into a badass one. He took to Instagram to share his new picture wherein he is seen showing off his chiseled body and six-pack abs.

He captioned the image, “#ShardulThakur in #BadhaaiDo. Being a pure vegetarian and to strictly avoid any kind of steroids, it wasn’t easy to get this transformation but nothing seems impossible when you love what you do. #BadhaaiDo is a film which is really close to my heart and we had a blast shooting this film.”

He has busted a myth related to fitness wherein people thought gaining muscles would require shifting to non-vegetarian food and steroids. Rajkummar has done it with only intense workouts and a proper routine.

People are appreciating Rajkummar for his intense transformation and are wondering how it all happened.

The film, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar as a PT teacher, is a standalone sequel to the 2018 hit Badhaai Ho. The original film was about a middle-aged woman with grown-up children who gets pregnant, and how her family and society react to the news. It starred Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, and Sanya Malhotra.

Director Harshavardhan Kulkarni had earlier told Mumbai Mirror that Badhaai Do will be ‘tapping a big social issue’. “All I can say is that Badhaai Do is as much a family entertainer as Badhaai Ho, only the world we’re creating is becoming more diverse. It moves from a small town to a bigger one and then, on to something else. There’s a lot of colour and drama,” he had said.
