Forget Ranveer Singh or Aparshakti Khurana - the OG or the “original gangster” of Indian fashion has always been Govinda. 

We will just say it, as it is - nobody comes close to the guy when it comes to quirky fashion.

Millennials will remember the bright coloured shirts and insanely zany leather pants that he used to wear for his films. That was about 20-25 years ago. 

One would assume that after all this time, he would have cleaned up his act, and become more “mainstream.” Boy, oh boy, would they be wrong.

Govinda was recently spotted at the Mumbai Airport wearing a rather simplistic, but elegant looking bandhgala suit, complete with matching pants.

He also had a rather suave looking pair of single monk strap shoes.

The entire outfit, along with the shoes, looked elegant and poised. We also like the silk pocket square that Govinda has gone for. It elevates his outfit to a whole new level.

Having said all this, we still can’t help digest those sunglasses that Govinda has gone for. They legit look like a pair straight out of the early 2000s.

The sunglasses that Govinda is wearing has 2 basic shades in a gradient - orange and blue. One zany thing about the sunglasses is that they change colours depending on how the light gets reflected off of them.

Another quirky thing about those sunglasses are the shape and the construction, as the “lenses” are actually one single part or a piece of plastic sheet. 

While the construction isn’t that unusual, what sets these apart is how they sit on Govinda’s face.

Had Govinda gone for something more sombre as an accessory, like a pair of classic aviators, or wayfarers, preferably in black, instead of these sunglasses, the outfit would have looked much more refined and elevated.

It seems that old habits really die hard.

Still, the bandhgala suit on its own is really what we should be focussing on. 

That really is a piece that we would love to cop from his wardrobe. The addition of that contrasting pocket square, again, like we said, was a dope style move.

All in all, that’s quite an outfit that Govinda’s got on here. Barring the questionable sunglasses, that is.
