If you are a '90s kid then your childhood was awesome, there is no doubt about it.

We grew up with the world opening up like an oyster, with traditional games being replaced with computers, and music changing its shape.

However, if there is one thing that continues to travel with us through time, is the nostalgia attached to music and the artists we grew up listening to.

It’s a dark day for music lovers because the iconic Pakistani band ‘Strings’ has announced that they are parting ways after giving us great music for 33 years.

So, while it will take us some time to fathom that this heartbreak has happened to us, here are some of the best songs by the group that will help us cope with this sad development:

1.  Duur

Exactly how we feel when we think of all those people we haven’t met in the Pandemic! This single came out in 2000 and yes, it was ages ago.

2.  Koi Aane Wala Hai

This wonderful song from John Abraham’s movie is a must-have on your list.

3. Ye Hai Meri Kahani

This one is an underrated gem which was the jam for all of us who were in school in 2006 and heard this one on our CD players.

4. Sajni

This song was released by the band to commemorate 30 years of making music in the industry.

5. Dhaani

Another personal favourite added to my ‘gedi’ list.

6. Naina

This is a soulful blend which the band gifted us and was a collaboration with the super talented Sona Mohapatra.

7. Najanay Kyun

Many people who watch the song on YouTube feel that the Spider-Man montage in the background is a façade but only true fans know that this wonderful song was indeed a part of the movie!

It's a hard day for fans but we just want to thank the wonderful band members for all the wonderful music that will live on in time with us.
