Bollywood celebrities are always under the public radar. These stars can’t walk on roads without their security as they are always at the risk of getting mobbed in public and this is where bodyguards come into the picture.

Bodyguards are like shadows of Bollywood celebs and you will spot them wherever you find these stars. Be it a film set, a night out, or even a lunch outing, you will always find celebs with their trusted bodyguards.

Their job is certainly a risky one as they make sure that the celebrity is well-protected and is not in any sort of trouble while also ensuring that they are accessible to the public. We were wondering if they are paid handsomely as their job requires sacrifices from each sphere of their lives. 

When we found out the salaries of these five famous Bollywood bodyguards, we felt that we are paid nothing but peanuts. Well, let’s keep jokes aside but they do deserve to be paid in accordance to the risk they put their lives into as it’s not easy to guard a public personality in a country like ours because people are crazy about Bollywood stars.

1. Salman Khan’s Bodyguard Shera View this post on Instagram

He needs no introduction as he has been working with Salman Khan for more than two decades now. In an earlier interview, Shera spoke about how he became Salman’s personal bodyguard. He said, “It has been 25 years that I have been working with Salman Bhai. Actually, Bhai used to go for shows and this one time, there was a show in Chandigarh where the audience had got on to the stage. When they returned, Sohail Khan called me to his office. He asked me, “Shera, why don’t you become Bhai’s bodyguard?” That’s how I started working for Bhai.” According to a report in Catch News, Shera gets paid around Rs 2 crore annually.

Yuvraj Ghorpade wanted to pursue bodybuilding but things didn’t work out the way he had planned. He had to leave school at the age of 16 but things changed for the better when he joined Ace Security. In an earlier interview with Express Tribune, he had said, “The future was dark for me as I was doing odd jobs for survival until I decided to join Ace Security nine years ago. Today, I am the bodyguard for (the actor-producer-director) Aamir Khan and many of my friends are envious of the fact that I roam with such a big celebrity all the time.” According to a report in Times Now, he takes home around Rs 2 crore annually to keep the actor safe.
