After Akshay Kumar, Vicky Kaushal Tests COVID Positive & People Wonder If They Partied Together


After Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Akshay Kumar, and some more popular names, Vicky Kaushal has tested positive for COVID 19. He took to Instagram to share this information with his fans and also requested all those who came in touch with him to test for the virus and take precautions.

He wrote, "In spite of all care and precautions, unfortunately, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all essential protocols, I am under home quarantine, taking medication as prescribed by my doctor. I request all those who came in contact with me to immediately get tested. Take care and stay safe."

COVID seems to be raging through the film industry as quite a few celebs have tested positive for the virus in the past couple of weeks. As soon as the actor shared his update, people started to question how all the celebs were getting infected. One user went on to question if they all partied together while others suggested that shootings need to be stalled, considering the rise in the number of COVID cases in the country.

On the work front, Vicky has a number of films in the pipeline, including the Sardar Udham Singh biopic, Sam Bahadur, a film based on the life of India's first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw; and The Immortal Ashwathama.

Just recently, his film based on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw has been titled Sam Bahadur. The film's title was unveiled on the birth anniversary of Sam Manekshaw. Vicky plays a titular role in the film which will be directed by Meghna Gulzar. Sharing the announcement video on Instagram, Vicky wrote, β€œThe man. The legend. The brave heart. Our Sam Bahadur. On the birth anniversary of Field Marshal #SamManekshaw, his story has found its name. #SamBahadur (sic).”

Talking about the film, Vicky Kaushal said in a statement, β€œI had always heard stories about Sam Bahadur from my parents who hail from Punjab and have seen the 1971 war but when I read the script I was completely blown away. He is a hero and patriot who is still remembered and loved to this day and capturing his spirit in the film is of the highest importance to me.”
