Here’s How Virat Kohli & Yuva Sena Are Working Together To Bring Relief To The COVID-Affected

A day after her birthday, Indian actor Anushka Sharma thanked her fans for all the wishes that poured in but also went on to talk about how she and her husband, Virat Kohli were going to start a “movement” and asked their fans to become a part of it as well.

And even though the video was important and made fans realise that arguably the most important power couple in the country, at the moment, is also making a lot of effort to help their nation get through the pandemic, no actual details were revealed.

A couple of days later, after the Indian Premier League was suspended indefinitely and the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise, Virat Kohli made his way back home in Mumbai, he was seen in a meeting with Rahul N Kanal, a core committee member of Yuva Sena (Shiv Sena, Youth Division) with the aim to bring COVID-19 relief to the people.

“Meeting our Captain...Respect and love for the movement he has started working on for COVID relief... No words just Respect and Prayers for all his efforts !!!” Rahul wrote while sharing the pictures from their meeting on Twitter.

Earlier today, Sharma once again shared a video from her Instagram handle, this time explaining their detail in-depth and with Kohli sitting next to her.

“As our country battles the second wave of Covid-19, and our healthcare systems are facing extreme challenges, it breaks my heart to see our people suffering. So, Virat and I have initiated a campaign #InThisTogether, with Ketto, to raise funds for Covid-19 relief. We shall all overcome this crisis together. Please step forward to support India and Indians. Your contribution will help in saving lives during this critical time,” she wrote in the caption.

For days now, some of the unreasonable critics of the couple have been questioning why did they not make a monetary contribution towards any one of the numerous NGOs and government agencies that are working towards the betterment of the people under this devastating pandemic.

However, a lot of people may have forgotten that the Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma contributed about Rs 3 crore back in March, 2020 when the pandemic had first hit our country and nobody knew exactly what or how to tackle it.
