Chetan Bhagat Takes A Swing At Baba Ramdev Over Coronil & Some Folks Think It Was Uncalled For

Noted author Chetan Bhagat has always been active on social media, but his views, of late, seem to have landed him smack dab in the middle of controversies.

The author has been attacking the government for a while over the vaccination shortage in the country.

And now, he has trained his guns of Baba Ramdev in regards to his medicine, Coronil. He tweeted, “Funny haven't seen even one tweet saying - need Coronil urgently.”

For the unversed, Ramdev's Patanjali Research Institute’s protective kit- Divya Swasari Coronil kit, which consists of Ashwagandha, Giloy, Tulsi, Kakda Singi, Rudanti, and powerful minerals, was launched last year.

Later, in a tweet, the WHO South-East Asia wrote, "WHO has not reviewed or certified the effectiveness of any traditional medicine for the treatment of COVID-19".

Coming back to Chetan Bhagat’s tweet, looks like some people did not agree with the tone of his tweet.

A Twitter user wrote, “Bhai chetan hogya ab buss karr. You have millions of followers instead of doing ye sab at this moment, Twitter pe logo ki help karo yaar, Let ppl tag you when they need Oxygen/ Icu beds/ambulance & all you need to do is RT and tag the concerned person. Apne bhi yehi kar rahe hai.”

People asked him not to drag Baba Ramdev into his arguments for no reason and they found his tweet in bad taste.

One of the users gave it back to Chetan by sharing an article that mentioned how Coronil tablets are out of stock at chemists and pharmacy stores across the country, even in major cities such as Delhi, Gurgaon, and Bengaluru.
