Most of us have grown up listening and grooving to Shah Rukh Khan’s songs from the 90s and early 2000s. These songs still hit the right chords with us and give us major nostalgic feels.

However, some iconic Hindi songs from that era are just as popular around the world as in India, and we often do not realise it.

Remember Indonesian dancers’ frame-to-frame recreation of Bole Chudiyan from K3G? This time the love for Indian melodies has come all the way from China. 

A Chinese girl performed a song from another one of SRK’s movie, Mohabbatein on a talent show and desi Twitter was left mega impressed.

She sang ‘Aankhein Khuli Ho Ya Ho Band’ which has been originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar and people on Twitter couldn’t help but notice that her voice was, in fact, quite similar to that of the legendary singer.

A user wrote, “Very Lata Mangeshkar like voice.” Another wrote, I like Chinese Lataji...little strange but not bad.” A user also commented, “But this is how Lata Mangeshkar actually does sound. so she really did imitate her. Other people also loved her rendition of the song and appreciated the effort.

This is awesome. Cant imagine how difficult it would have been for her to adopt pronunciation and sing it to the tune. Loved it
