Let’s be honest with ourselves, most men have a rather precarious relationship with the porn they consume. However, one thing that we cannot deny is that people who consume porn tend to have that one favourite pornstar.

As hard as it may be for a lot of people to believe, the porn industry doesn’t actually pay that well. Mia Khalifa, who to this day remains to be one of the most highly searched pornstars of all time, famously said that she made peanuts while she was acting, and had to therefore leave the industry.

Here we take a look at few other retired pornstars who actually make more money from YouTube & Twitch, two of the world’s largest video content platforms, than they made from porn. Their ‘safe for work’ or SFW content has ensured that they are massively popular on these platforms as well.

Sasha Grey at one point in time was one of the most popular pornstars, especially among Indian web surfers. Naturally, people assumed that she must be earning truckloads of money from her career in the porn industry. However, that wasn’t true. Sasha Grey is massively popular on Twitch. She isn’t a hardcore gamer, but yes, she does play games and has very casual live streams where she’s seen cooking, and just chatting with her 8,81,000 followers.

Alana Evans too has quite a good following on Twitch and a number of other social media platforms. Even when she had an active career in the porn industry, she was a huge gaming nerd, and her own ventures, one of which included an interactive video gaming website where subscribers could play video games with their favourite pornstars via Xbox Live or on the PlayStation Network.

Mia Khalifa too makes to this list. On Twitch, she has about 5,00,000 followers, and also a massively popular fan base on YouTube, just like Sasha Grey. As per an interview she did about her time in the porn industry, she revealed that although she acted for about a year, her videos catapulted her into stardom, after she had stopped acting. She also said that she made a total of $12,000 from her videos.

Johnny Sins bid adieu to the industry in 2019, however, he did say that if he finds a project enticing enough, he would definitely come back. Sins has a lifestyle vlog on YouTube and has over 17 Lakhs subscribers on his channel. He often talks about the industry, but mostly, it is a regular lifestyle vlog, where he speaks about health and working out, his vacations, and his life in general.

Manuel Ferrera has a proper, hardcore gaming channel on Twitch, where his content is consumed by over 3,50,000 followers. Some of his uploads on Twitch contain hours of gameplay videos from COD: Warzone, and a number of other RPG games. Do keep in mind that his is a French channel. Had it been in English, he for sure would have a lot more followers.
