Actress Neena Gupta is not just a powerhouse of talent and one of the finest actresses in the country, but is also known as someone who is synonymous with how a strong woman is described.

Her recently-released autobiography, Sach Kahun Toh has been garnering a lot of praise and has earned her more fans. 

Recently, an old video of Neena Gupta at an awards show has resurfaced on the internet where she is seen with her then beau Viv Richards. 

In the video, she is seen seated beside legendary singer Asha Bhonsle and the two of them are striking a friendly conversation as Asha ji is chatting up with Viv as well. 

Asha Bhonsle apparently thought that he looked like Bollywood actor Nana Patekar and Neena Gupta disagreed as she mentioned that “he looks better than him”.  

When Viv asks her about who she is referring to, she smiles and explains, “ there’s an actor we have, she’s saying you’re looking like him. I said, ‘No, no, he looks better.'”

Neena Gupta has always been vocal about her relationship with the cricketer and the love and respect she has for him is evident in all her interviews whenever she has been asked about him. 

In one of her recent interviews during her book launch, when the question around him came up, her answer was honest and extremely heartfelt. 

“I had Masaba because I loved Vivian. And if you love somebody, you can’t hate somebody like that. You may not live or do things together – woh dheere dheere pata chalta hai (you get to know that slowly). But you can’t hate. Aisa toh nahi hota ki aaj love hai toh kal suddenly you hate (You can’t love someone one and hate them the next). And how can you put this thing in your daughter’s mind about her father? I don’t want to and don’t feel it. Why should I poison her thoughts? I have respect for him, he respects me and so, she has respect for both of us. It’s a very simple thing,” she said.

Talking about Viv’s resemblance with Nana Patekar, we don't even think that they look alike, but we wonder what made Asha ji feel that way.
