Yami Gautam tied the knot with the filmmaker of Uri, Aditya Dhar, last month. The actress posted a series of pictures from her wedding on Instagram and stunned her fans and followers.

Even though everything seemed to be going great for her, she was recently called in for questioning by the Enforcement Directorate for an alleged violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). ED has asked Yami Gautam to appear on July 7th and give a statement on the irregularities in her bank account under FEMA.

According to news, Yami received Rs 1.5 Crore in her bank account, which wasn't disclosed to the authorities. The transaction is suspected to be a foreign monetary transaction. Hence she has been called in for questioning. This isn't the first time Yami has been summoned by the federal agency. In fact, she was called in last year as well but couldn't step out due to the pandemic restrictions.

Sources mentioned that certain transactions were made, and after active investigation, it was found that the bank accounts were connected to Yami Gautam, post which she was summoned. Many movies are also under the eyes of ED for money laundering cases.

On the work front, Yami has resumed working on her next project, which is a thriller movie called A Thursday. Some of her great works include Kaabil, Badlapur and Vicky Donor.
