MP Minister Airlifted After Trying To Help Those Stuck In Flood & People Are Lauding Him

A minister in an effort to help stranded people in a flooded area in Madhya Pradesh got stuck himself and had to be airlifted.

State Home Minister Narottam Mishra was on a Survey of flood-hit Datia district and found nine people stranded on a roof that was completely surrounded by water. The house was completely submerged except for the roof.

On seeing the stuck people, Mr. Mishra who was on a boat of the State Disaster Response Force along with some relief workers managed to reach the people, despite high winds and choppy water.

However, just before the minister could make arrangements for rescuing the stranded people, a tree broke and his boat fell flat.

Soon, Mr. Mishra started sending messages to government officials and was later airlifted in a helicopter of the Indian Air force and the nine others were also airlifted by the IAF jawans.

The minister made sure that first the stranded people were rescued and only after that a rope was lowered to pull him up safely.

In the video, the minister can be seen wearing a white kurta and a black jacket and he can be seen holding the rescue line dropped from the helicopter that then pulled him up.

Mr. Mishra also visited a number of flood-affected villages in Datia district and supervised many rescue operations and relief camps.

Here’s what people have to say about this-
